Helping Families Navigate Support Programs
We strive to offer our high-quality early childhood education programs to all families regardless of income. Our goal is to care for and educate young children allowing them to be ready for a lifetime of learning and growing. Bright Years Academy encourages families to inquire about state subsidy programs.
Care4Kids
Bright Years Academy is experienced in assisting families with the application process. Families may request an application packet, available in English and Spanish, from Bright Years Academy which include the Care4Kids Application Form and the Parent/Provider Agreement. Forms are also available online at ctcare4kids.com. Families will be required to provide certain documents such as proof of income and any child support documents.
Once Bright Years Academy receives a Care4Kids Child Care Certificate, the family fee will then be calculated. It is the responsibility of the family to be re-determined bi-annually by Care4Kids. Families are responsible for full tuition until a Care4Kids certificate is received or during any lapse in the certificate.
Military
Bright Years Academy supports eligible active duty families in U.S. Military, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. National Park Services, and U.S. General Services Administration by partnering with Child Care Aware® of America to offer tuition assistance.
Bright Years Academy offers a Child Care Subsidy Program administered through the USDA (formerly administered by the General Services Administration (GSA)) for eligible Active Duty members or Active Duty Reservists of the U.S. Coast Guard called to action for 180 days of longer, U.S. National Park Services, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and U.S. General Services Administration who don’t live or work near a Child Development Center (CDC).
Department of Children and Families (DCF)
Bright Years Academy accepts tuition payments from DCF if applicable. On a case by case basis, DCF provides subsidized child care for families involved in the fostering or adoption process.
Middletown School Readiness Program
Bright Years Academy in Middletown, CT is proud to be NAEYC accredited, and a participating provider in Connecticut’s state-funded early care and education program, Early Start (formerly known as School Readiness). Our Middletown center has proudly supported this initiative since 2001, providing high-quality learning opportunities to local families.
In partnership with the Office of Early Childhood and Local Governance Partners, Bright Years is committed to ensuring that all Connecticut families have access to an affordable, enriching early childhood experience. Tuition is based on a sliding fee scale and is supported by state subsidies, making quality care accessible to more children.
Early Start spaces are available for children 6 weeks to 5 years old. Enrollment is limited and fills quickly, so we encourage interested families to schedule a tour to meet our exceptional Teachers and learn about our curriculum.
To receive application materials and related Early Start forms, please contact the Bright Years Academy Middletown Director.
