Nurturing the Mind, Body & Heart

The Bright Intentions Wellness Approach is intentionally woven into the fabric of each day at Bright Years Academy. Introducing wellness as a natural part of how we help children learn, play, and grow ensures that emotional wellbeing, movement, and kindness are valued just as much as academics. Our Teachers are specially trained to model mindfulness, healthy movement, and empathy in the classroom and through this program, helping children engage with these practices in age-appropriate ways.

Early childhood is the most important time for emotional and cognitive development, making it the perfect stage to introduce our wellness approach which focuses on “Mind, Body, & Heart.”

  • Mindful Moments help children connect their breath with their minds and bodies.
  • Playful Poses help children build strength, body awareness and overall confidence.
  • Kind Connections help children foster empathy through kindness-focused activities.

Benefits of Bright Intentions

  • Sets a positive tone for the day
  • Improves the ability to regulate emotions and reduce stress
  • Promotes self-love, self-awareness, and self-acceptance
  • Helps children make meaningful friend connections
  • Brings peace and calm to naptime
  • Encourages children to be in the present moment

Families often notice that children carry these wellness habits home — using breathing strategies, kind language, and gentle movements to self-regulate and connect with others.

By implementing a structured wellness routine in the classroom through Bright Intentions, we are creating a new standard for wellness as part of early education—one breath, one stretch, and one kind word at a time.

Mindfulness at Home

We encourage families to help children start their day off with positive energy as well as Mindful Moments to help them settle into their nightly routine to help them drift off the sleep.
